Christopher Cyr of
Blind River, Ontario is a relative
newcomer to horsepulling having just completed his fourth year on the circuit.
He began with a pair of lightweight horses but has since traded them in for
three heavyweight horses that he pulls in rotation. Christopher's
girlfriend who hitches for him hopes to one day compete herself with a pair in
the lightweight division. Christopher has competed solely in Ontario up to
now but says his goal is to one day find his way to some of the big pulls in
Michigan. Christopher who makes his living as an auto technician considers
his hometown pull held each July as his favorite pull. He believes his
most important accomplishment to be finishing second in a single horse class,
winning the team class and being named teamster of the day at his very first
competition. Christopher claims he is totally addicted to horsepulling.
He lives all summer for pulls and works in the bush all winter getting ready for
them. "At each pull throughout the summer you'll find a bunch of friends
there to have a good time".
