Donnie
Middaugh Jr. from Belfast, New York has been pulling
horses for
30 years. Along with his father Don Sr., they have competed in heavyweight pulls
all over New York, Ohio, Michigan and Florida.
When not driving the four horses he presently owns you'll find him driving or
helping hitch for many of his competitors at a typical pulling event. Donnie is
a logger in western New York and considers the spring
pull in Syracuse as his favorite pull to compete in. He lists his most
important accomplishment in pulling as winning the National Heavyweight
Championship in Lansing, Michigan in 1999. Donnie would like to thank his
biggest fans and the source of his inspiration, the Dixie Chicks (his wife Dixie
and daughters Shelby and Kayla).
