Glenn Cunningham
from Maitland Bridge Nova Scotia has been
pulling horses for 25 years. He pulls his team of dapple grays Tim & Dixie
in the heavyweight classes in Nova Scotia. Glenn says his favorite pull to
compete in annually is the qualifying pull in Bridgewater. Melissa, his
common law wife as well as his two oldest kids Rebecca and Cameron also compete
in horsepulling competitions. He considers his most important
accomplishment in pulling to be
getting my wife and kids "involved" in the
pulling circuit. We love watching the kids take part in something we all
enjoy! We have 2 younger children who are also wanting to pull, however
the youngest has cut a corner, he prefers cattle. "Well I guess 3 out of 4
isn't bad"! Glenn has spent the majority of his life in the woods where he
makes his living. Glenn told us
his
whole family has at one time or another taken an interest in the pulling
circuit. Our children make the 4th generation. In the future it
might just be nice to see our grandchildren make the 5th generation and so on!
We all
love and enjoy the sport of pulling horses and look forward to visiting the
states sometime in the future to watch and perhaps compete with some new
competition!
