Jackson Sterle of
Eaton, New York started pulling horses in 1994. He presently pulls his two
horses named Ed & Mike in the heavyweight class predominantly in his home state
of New York but also on occasion in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts,
Connecticut and Michigan. Jackson claims his favorite pull is all of those
that he competes at. He figures his most important accomplishment in
pulling was to have been intelligent enough to get out for a few years when he
found he was no longer having fun competing. But he's back now and
doing well having even cracked the top ten at the 2005 Michigan Great Lakes
International. Jackson, a second generation puller is also currently a
director with the New York State Horse Pullers Association. He makes his
living in retail management. Jackson attempts to learn something from all
the pullers he shares company with and would like to thank Bob Williams for
teaching him how to get a team ready to compete. |
