Larry
Dodge of Brooktondale, New York has been pulling
horses for twenty years. He competes with his pair of horses in the
heavyweight class in NY, NJ, PA, NH and Massachusetts. Larry is the
current vice president of the NYSHPA and when not competing you can generally
find him judging at the horsepulls. He makes his living as a trucker and
Equine Tech at Cornell University. Larry is part of a large family of
pullers including Buck, Wayne, Kevin and Randy. He tells us that the
Sullivan County Fair in Forksville, PA is his favorite pull to compete at each
season. Larry considers a fifth place finish at the EDHA championship
Round-up as his most important accomplishment in pulling. Larry would like
to see more cooperation from the New York State Fair officials regarding the
horsepulling event and those who compete there.
