Megan pulling in the Free-For-All
class in Goshen, Connecticut where she finished fourth out of twelve
entries. |
Megan Malloy from Cheshire,
Massachusetts is the latest member to take up pulling horses in quite possibly
the largest horsepulling family in the country. She has many many cousins
and uncles that pull horses and in her immediate family she joins her father
William and brothers Will and Gary on the pulling circuit. Her mother Lisa
is active as a director with the Eastern Draft Horse Association. Megan,
still working her way through high school, takes her turn driving in mostly the
3300 classes in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire. Her
family has several horses that they use to compete with in all the weigh classes
from 3400 down to 3000 where they are very formidable. She gets the most
pleasure out of competing at the Adams Agricultural and Cummington fairs.
Megan's goal at this early point in her pulling career is just doing her best
every time she competes.
