Nathan Whipple, shown here driving the Parker & Whipple entry of  Shorty and Bill at the Connecticut Agricultural Fair in Goshen, Connecticut, has done very well in just his second season of competition. Nathan, a freshman at Ledyard High School along with his father, mother and brother Gregory compete at pulls in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Whipple family presently have two teams, one that competes in the 3300 class and the other in the heavy class. Nathan claims his favorite pull to compete in is at the North Stonington Fair in his hometown of North Stonington, Connecticut. He was presented with the "Good Teamster" award at this years Hartford County 4-H fair in Somers, Connecticut. Nathan competes with a partner, Rick Parker of Manassas, Virginia.
