Tad
Wentzell of Bushnell, Florida is one of
our bright new teamsters on the circuit having gotten involved a couple years
ago. He's been learning and refining his skills while driving for Arthur
Durgin and the Durgin & Crowell outfit. Tad competes with four horses in
some lightweight classes but mostly the heavyweight class in his home state of
Florida during the winter and throughout New England all summer. When he
is not pulling horses Tad is pursuing a degree in the veterinary sciences.
He lists the pull in Webster Florida as his favorite pull to compete at and his
most important accomplishment in pulling was finishing first at the Connecticut
Valley Fair in Bradford, Vermont in his very first competition. Tad's
father Rick can also be found competing on the pulling circuit. Tad says
about his experience pulling horses, " I'm learning and Loving it!"
