Boughs win in Guilford, Ct.
Congratulations to the Boughs, Rex, Brandon and Randy, on their winning the over 3300# class in Guilford, and on behalf of the horse pull committee, thanks to them and all those who traveled many hours to compete and entertain a large and appreciative crowd at the 152th anniversary of the Guilford Fair.
The very best aspects of horse pulling were on display: skillful driving in a 12' boat pull; excellent sportsmanship among competitors; beautifully dressed, conditioned and shown teams. Thanks also to Bill Torrey and Michele Thayer in their respective websites for publicizing the event, and for contacting many of the horsemen to answer their questions regarding this pull. Durgin and Cole arrived with two trailers and 8 horses, and took the time, as other owners did, to introduce their horses to many fairgoers who had never had the opportunity to be that close to these big horses before. With Skip Smart driving, they took 1st and 2nd in the 3300# class. Wally Stevens won the light class, and showed once again that he has to be considered one of the best horsemen in the country. We plan to continue to upgrade this pull with sponsors' support next year.
For the committee, Ray Dudley

Congratulations to Ray Dudley and committee on a successful pull! I am glad that you had a great attendance with quality teams. It is always nice when classy people show up to help sponsor your pull. Thank you for coming to the BDHMC in Bowling Green this year and classing up our pull! JoJo Duvall
