The horse pulling community, the EDHA in particular, lost one of its great supporters today with the passing of Bill Wood. Bill was a charter member of the EDHA and supported it to the fullest until his last round-up today. RIP Bill, you and your red hat will be long and fondly remembered by all who knew you.

Billy Wood was a friend of mine for more than 40 years, and I will always remember him in two places: a proud Marine and an Iwo Jima Survivor marching in the 4th of July Parade in Madison, Ct.; wearing his red hat in Detroit, Michigan in 1989, hooking eveners for his old friend Dick Wallingford, behind Dan and Tony. Bill always offered a handshake and a kind word. My sympathy to his family and friends. Ray
