pulling competitions
    wondering what peoples thoughts on pulling a mare in competitions.has anyone had good luck with a mare. thanks

We had very good luck pulling a Mare, she won her share of pulls on the east coast. She was very ornery, typical woman........ LOL.. Helen was her name and pulling was her game..

We have pulled some good mares, a good mare will pull longer than a gelding

Fred Cook successfully pulled 2 mares that I remember,
Neon a good sized mare in the FFA and Molly an 1800 lb
bay horse that he pulled in both light and heavy classes.
He pulled both mares with Silver in the FFA and Molly with
another bay horse named Jack in the light classes.

We pull a team of mares , they have done
a really good job for us! They sure have put some geldings
In their place! Ours are very good tempered and don't
come into heat when we are working and pulling them.
