Randy McGirr 45 the father of three beautiful girls; Kyla (19), Kelsey(15) and Kasey(11) and married to Stacey Dodge-McGrirr has been recently diagnosed with stage 3 Esophageal Cancer in December of 2012. Doctors discovered the cancer when Randy started having trouble swallowing. After numerous tests and procedures for the possible scar tissue on the esophagus, they found a cancerous tumor. Randy was born and raised in Lincoln County Kentucky and currently resides with his family in Central Kentucky. Randy is a thoroughbred race horse trainer. The horses are not only is job but pure enjoyment for him. He competes in draft horse pulls and loves to ride horses with his family and coach his girls in basketball in his free time. Randy is also a huge Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. This cancer has put a devastating halt to everything that brings Randy joy. He is currently under going chemo and radiation treatments in hopes to shrink the tumor. The ultimate goal is to be able to have surgery to remove part of his esophagus and to be totally cancer free. Randy’s wife Stacey currently is working fulltime and taking care of Randy physically, emotionally and financially. Even with all of Stacey’s best efforts, they still need our help. With medical bills and related expenses mounding on a weekly basis for Randy’s treatments, the financial burden is quickly becoming overwhelming. Together this family is strong and they will get through this. If you would like to help with a financial contribution of any amount, all funds will go directly to the McGirr family to help with his caner treatment and related expenses.
