I am not sure what this has to do with the future of horse pulling. but in the 35+ years of watching and pulling horses i have seen horses pull for 15 years on 6 foot i do like longer pulling but real pulling horses will pull any distance so if yours got ruined not HURT they were not real pulling horses

I did not say anyting about a horse getting hurt. I was replying to Jim who said who said keep pulling 6 foot it will ruin your horses I said if thier pulling horses they will keep pulling. a horse can get hurt any style pulling and most the time it is the good pulling horse that gets hurt

i pull both distance and short pulls and never do good on the short pulls. they will 2lb rock 400 feet but wont haul the same weight or more out 6 or 12 feet. is there a difference in training short pull horses compared to distance horses?

Our association was interested in sending RFD some pull tapes. We were told that they got pressure from PETA not to show any more pulls. Another case of a few "do gooders" with money who have never lived in the real world making the rules.
