Ken
Durgin of Keene, New Hampshire has
been driving pulling horses for 32 years all over New England and on occasion in
New York State. He is partial to weigh horses and looks forward to pulling
at his hometown pull at the Cheshire fair. Ken's extended family has been
pulling horses for many years; presently brothers Arthur, Bruce and son-in-law
Jeremy Johns. He sold the last of his horses seven years ago and since has
driven for other owners. Ken works at a sawmill during the week but
can usually be found competing in or watching horsepulls on the weekends. Ken is
most proud of starting a lot of green horses on the New England pulling circuit
of which many proved to be very competitive.
In the picture Ken is pulling the Stone
Farm team in Haddam Neck, Connecticut.
