2021 Eastern Draft Horse Championship Round-up

Friday, October 15th
Scales will open at 7am to weigh in horses for the weekend
8am – Mini Pull (34′ & 38″), 10′ foot pull
1 hour after Mini Pull – 3050# Class, 12FT Pull
6pm – 3250# Class, 12FT Pull
First class of the day will begin promptly at the time posted; the remaining classes are approximate times.
Weighing: Weighing will begin on Frida, October 15th at 7am. Horses may weigh in on Friday and have their weights hold for the entire weekend, as long as they remain on the fairgrounds. All horses will be photographed at the time of weighing in and given a number. All horses will be verified before the start of each class. If horses are found to be switched you will be disqualified from the event immediately. There will be no weighting of horses while a class is in progress.
Other Round-up important information!
There will be no standing by the tractor/boat unless you are assisting with the class. For insurance reasons NO CHAIRS will be allowed in the the ring. Eastern Draft Horse Association’s policy is to perform random testing for all classes at the roundup! For insurance purposes, please remember only the drivers/owners and evener tenders may be in the ring for everyone’s safety! Please also remember you must be a paid 2021 Member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association to pull (Owners and Drivers) or be in the ring. Dues are $20 for the year. You can pay at the Round-Up or pay ahead by sending your check to:

Admission passes will be checked daily. If you don’t have a bracelet attached, you will be asked to purchase another one at the time.
Campers: Camper Passes for the weekend are being handled by Cheshire Fairgrounds. The estimated price for the weekend is $70, but this figure is subject to the discretion of the Cheshire Fairgrounds (Any vehicle/trailer hooked up to electricity will need a camper pass for the weekend.) The fairgrounds will be monitoring vehicles and enforcing the Camper Passes. Campers may come in to set up on Thursday, October 14th after 12 noon. No early birds please.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome to join you at the Round-up, but we ask that they be on a leash at all times. We also ask that you please clean up after them. If we adhere to these rules year after year, it allows our furry friends the chance to come back in following years.
