Gary Wagler 12/28/67 – 10/15/22

Gary Lee Wagler, 54, of Montgomery, passed away surrounded by his loving family at 6:07 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

He was born December 28, 1967 in Washington, Indiana to the late Lester K. “Murphy” and Ida Mae (Knepp) Wagler.

Gary married Barbara Jean Stoll on November 22, 1987 and she survives.

Gary loved his family and grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman and had a love for logging. Often you could find him training or trading horses or attending a horse pull. He delivered and installed cabinets for several different companies. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lester K. and Ida Mae Wagler; infant brother; brother-in-law, Levi Dean Graber.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Wagler of Montgomery; children, Travis (Karen) Wagler of Loogootee, Katrina (Jason) Raber of Lexington, Monica (Reggie) Graber of Loogootee, Valerie (Jeremy) Graber of Loogootee and Trenton (Janae) Wagler of Odon; grandchildren, Payton and Paxton Wagler, Calean, Emma, Maylah, Jesaiah, Abigail, Ibri and Hadli Raber, Wyatt, Weston and Wrenna Graber, Dre and Benson Graber and Rayna Wagler; siblings, Karen Graber, Dale Wagler, Merle (Angela) Wagler, Janet (Steve) Wagler, Diana (Owen) Wagler, Edwin Wagler, Treva (Kevin) Knepp and Dean (Shirley) Wagler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at First Mennonite Church in Montgomery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 and Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Mennonite Church in Montgomery.
