John H. Milner, 81, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, on January 17, 2023 while staying at Hutson Woods.
John was born on May 19, 1941, in Carbon, Indiana, the son of Anson “Si” Richard and Mary (Mitchell) Milner. He graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1959. John married Dorothy Mace on July 10, 1960. John worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for 31 years before retiring in 1996.
When he wasn’t working John enjoyed hunting, running his Beagles and coon hounds. He also enjoyed pulling ponies and horses and especially riding his 4-wheeler.
John was preceded in death by his parents Si and Mary Milner and two sisters: Thelma Thomas and Marie Milner.
John is survived by his wife of 62 years Dorothy Milner; three children: Micci Jo Anglin (Cody), John A. Milner, Bob Milner (Juanita); grandchildren: Gredin Anglin, Megan Anglin, Porchia Ryan (Bobby Myles), Grace Myers (Eric), and Dustin Milner (Virginia Graf); great-grandchildren: Jaylie, Josh, Annastazja, Alice, Keira, Kaine, and one on the way; a brother David Milner (Dorothy); as well as several extended family members and friends.
Services will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. 47834, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 7:00 PM with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 5:00 PM until time of services.
