Jay Kessler of Millerton, Pennsylvania has been pulling horses for 30 years. He competes in the 3300 class primarily in Pennsylvania and New York but on occasion has ventured out to Michigan where he has twice won arguably the most prestigious pull in the country at the Michigan Great Lakes International. Jay pays the bills by logging like many other horsepullers. He lists the spring pull in Syracuse as his favorite pull to compete in. Some of his stiffest competition each season comes from his father Ira who also competes in many pulls throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Jay claims his most important accomplishment was winning the Great Lakes International.
